Instagram is not just a place to chat, check up on friends and share funny memes. While these are all more reasons to use the app, Instagram also gives you access to the news. Instagram is special because you can choose to follow certain news sources that you like, see what news your friends are up to date on, and explore new news outlets that you did not know existed. The "explore" page is an infinitely long list of posts that the Instagram algorithm has calculated that you might enjoy. So if you are curious about foreign affairs or even local High Point news, the more you look at those types of posts the more the explore page will give you. Instagram is tailored to you.

NPR or National Public Radio is good for everyone. Firstly, it is easily accessible to anyone driving to or from from work, all you have to have is a radio. NPR has been around for a long time, and they have been ranked center on the policical spectrum. This is nice because you wont be getting as many bias opinions or drama from the right or left. NPR is a also a non-profit funded by the people which is also nice to know that it is not one person pushing their own private agenda. It covers world events, American News and modern culutre.

The Wall Street Journal or WSJ is a global news paper based out of New York City. I enjoy this news outlet because of its trustworthiness. I know that the biggest paper in the world that has won many pulitzer prize awards will maintain it's reputation by not risking being wrong. The Wall Street Journal covers many financial stories because its owned by Dow Jones, and as an amatuer share holder I enjoy reading about the stock market. The Wall Street Journal is always current and it reaches beyond just America. And just like NPR, the news is very center and unbiased by politics.
BBC or the British Broadcasting Channel is based out of london and again is considered a very center news outlet on the political scale. The reason I enjoy center based news is that we should only care about the facts and make opinions for ourselves. I do not care about what the anchor's opinion is. BBC may be british but they have a royal charter that is independent of the governemnt, so they are truly autonomous from bias politics.

Reddit allows people to discuss and share topics around the world. It always makes for a good laugh and to see what ordinary people's opinions are on world events rather than a bias news source or random news anchor. Reddit allows you to share and communicate with others in forums tailored to what you have in common with others. There are reddit pages for anything and everything. People can create their own for reddit pages if they can not find a specific one. It is impossible to look at reddit and not find something that interests you because if you can always start a page that perhaps others like you want to follow.
